June 5th 2017 (Day 4)

Today we had a very long and busy day. We all met in the lobby around 9:20am and headed to the Melbourne Museum. As a group we went to the First Peoples Exhibition where we learned about the history and background of Aboriginal Victoria. It was interesting to open my mind up to new cultures as I walked around this exhibition. Personally, my favorite part was listening to the different dialects of the aboriginal communities. After viewing that exhibition I wondered around with a few people from our group to see the rest of the museum. We saw the Top Designs of 2017, the animals in the Wild exhibition, skeletons of dinosaurs, Bugs Alive, and the Human Body exhibition. I was very impressed with the museum and it definitely exceeded my expectations. After some Nandos we headed over to the National Tennis Center where we got a tour and played against each other. Our tennis player Gabi showed off her skills on the court. Next, we departed for the Kin Group where we listened to Syracuse alumni Ruffy Geminder. Apparently he is the Australian version of Steve Jobs which is pretty extraordinary. We listened to him share some business ideas about sustainability and memories of Syracuse while enjoying delicious meat pies and pastries. We spent the rest of our time at the Kin Group listening Mr. John Tripodi speak about Twenty3 Sport & Entertainment and Melbourne and asked a few questions. Professor Burton noticed we were all pretty tired at this point so we hopped on the bus back to the hotel, grabbed some food downstairs, and the group split up for the night.
